CardSprint's expertise is plastic cards. Plain and simple. There is nothing we don't know about providing a printed piece of PVC, 86mm x 55mm in size.

Big company resources.
In 2001, CardSprint was proud to become the exclusive distributor for Placard, Australia's largest plastic card manufacturer, for the South Australian and Western Australian markets. One of the first Australian Manufacturers to be accredited with the Global ISO 9001:2000 Standards, the strict quality control measures at Placard's manufacturing facility ensures we can supply a premium product. Placard produce all products in a high secure facility accredited by Visa, MasterCard, Amex and Diners Club International. As far as plastic cards go, it doesn't get any better than that.

Small company attitude.
While we have the resources of Placard at hand to service the larger businesses, we also specialise in the smaller print runs. Our range of production methods means we have no minimum print run. Need just 100 loyalty cards to service a select customer base? Need just a few ID cards? No problem!

Our Plastic Card Products:

Offset Printed, Laminated cards.
Our premium product, of credit card quality. Colours are matched to specific PMS requirements when requested, and high quality, printed proofs are supplied prior to manufacturing. Minimum manufacturing runs for an offset printed laminated card is currently 3,000 units, although we can "gang" jobs to offer a minimum as low as 500. Ganging is a process where we add several jobs to the one set of printing plates to achieve the best economies of scale. All ganging jobs are printed using a 4-colour process (CMYK).

Surface Printed Cards.
As the name suggests, a surface printed card has the print applied on top of the laminate. This gives a unique matte finish to the card, and provides a popular alternative to a glossy laminated card. Minimum print runs for this product is 1,500 units.

Thermally Printed Cards.
The majority of our smaller customers are supplied a thermally printed card. These are produced using Datacard thermal printers, one of the best plastic card printers available. Set-up fees are low, and turn around times are extremely fast. In most cases we can have cards printed and supplied in a matter of days. Same day turn around for local clients is not out of the question.
